Winter in Minnesota

I moved to Minnesota in 2008 and started exploring my new home state. In 2010 I started to paint my “Seasons in Minnesota” series finishing up with “Winter in Minnesota” (2011). The painting was inspired by walks around my neighborhood lake. I love it when the trees and the ice are coated in fresh snow and how soft the sunsets can look against the white. When you live in Minnesota you have to find the beauty in winter! Enjoy!
