Spring in my Backyard

This painting was inspired by spring cleaning in my backyard. I love the time of year when the hostas and the ferns start to unfurl. Right after the snow melts, the word seems so brown. It is still covered with plants and leaves which passed last fall. But just below, the greens of new buds are starting to emerge. I tried to capture that moment in time in this painting. Enjoy!
