Lake Sunset - Purple

In the summers in Minneapolis, one of my favorite things to do is walk around the city lakes at sunset. This painting was inspired by an especially purple night at Lake Nakomis in Minneapolis. I wanted to see if I could just paint my impressions without getting bogged down in the detail that I usually focus on. It felt great to paint without a real plan. Please Enjoy!
