Lakeside Willows

In the spring, if you are walking around Lake Nakomis in Minneapolis, one of the first trees you will see coming back to life are the weeping willows. The leaves start out sparse and yellow before maturing into greener, fuller boughs. They are one of my favorite parts of spring and always make me want to sketch. This painting was completed in 2018.
